My first TSUNAMI warning

I am currently anxiously sitting at Bowers English School waiting out the Tsunami warning which is advising that a tsunami will hit the Pacific Coast of Japan anytime now, due to a huge earthquake in Japan’s most northern island Hokkaido earlier tonight.

I should be on my way home right now, but considering the only thing that separates my apartment building and the Pacific Ocean is a two-lane road, I thought it safer here, where we’re about a kilometer away.

It’s funny, judging from everyone here, you’d think it was absolutely nothing to worry about. My students didn’t even tell me about it in class about an hour ago. (Apparently, it’s a very small tsunami). I found out about it after I got a phone call from Tomoko in Tokyo warning me all about it.

Small tsunami or not, I’m scared out of my wits, let me tell you!
