Toronto Farewell party!

My Toronto farewell party was held at “Not My Dog” on Sat Oct 22.

First of all, I must say, that it was a very humbling experience to have such a great bunch of beautiful people make the effort to say goodbye to me. I feel very lucky and loved!

Big ups to Russell and Tania, the owners of “Not My Dog” (www.notmydog.ca), who made everyone feel comfortable and provided many good vibes! They even gave me a cake! I said goddamn!

We had all kinds of people at the party: Turks, Koreans, Japanese, Mexicans, Canadian Filipinos, Rastas, South Americans, a Chinese, etc.

Thanks to all my former students, friends and colleagues from King George International College, who, despite the cold and the rain, came out to depths of Parkdale to party with me and my family! In the words of Mark Jesson: “So nice!”

Thanks to Anthony, Jay, I-free and Doods from the band “cityfolk” (www.cityfolkmusiconline.com) who, along with soul-brothers Rod, Dean and Russell, and an unidentified piano player, gave us an impromptu acoustic jam at the end of the night. It was incredible!

I was too drunk/stupid/unorganized to bring the battery for my digital camera, so if anyone has photos from that evening please email them to me and I can share them with everyone on this blog
